Lauren is out of the hospital and relaxing at the Ronald McDonald's House. Her counts are already going up!! Her ANC count is at 20 and still needs to reach 1,500 but it's a lot better than yesterday when it was at zero.

The McGowan's came by today to give platelets. Unfortunately, Debbie has tody wee veins and low iron, so she wasn't able to give blood or platelets, and Bill took an aspirin, so he was only able to give blood but not platelets. I also tried to give blood and platelets. About 5 minutes into the platelet collection, the machine started beeping and turned off. My blood wasn't coming out fast enough. Apparently your suppose to drink a lot of water and not suppose to have a lot of caffeine. Two cups of coffee and a medium diet coke for lunch is considered too much caffeine. So I got poked for nothing. Oh well. With Lauren's counts going up, she'll probably not need anymore more blood or platelets.
